WIPO Director General Unveils New Economic Research Guidelines to Support Policymaking

WIPO Director General Francis Gurry unveiled new “Guidelines to Using Evidence from Research to Support Policymaking” and welcomed representatives from the eight other participating IP institutions on October 2, 2019, during the WIPO Assemblies 2019.

During the WIPO Assemblies 2019, 0ver 1,000 delegates from WIPO’s 192 member states met to consider a range of work on issues related to intellectual property, which is becoming the bedrock for economic policy in a globalized, technology-driven world.

The Assemblies of the Member States of WIPO: Fifty-Ninth Series of Meetings was held September 30 through October 9, 2019, at WIPO headquarters in Geneva.
