Kenyan Government Cabinet Secretary on IP and Development

Amina C. Mohamed, Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Heritage, Republic of Kenya, speaks in an interview after delivering a keynote address to the “International Conference on Intellectual Property and Development: How to Benefit from the IP System,” hosted by WIPO on May 20, 2019.

The conference brought together hundreds of participants and panelists from across the globe to discuss national, regional and international knowledge and experience on recent IP and development issues, as well as to strategize on how best to benefit from the IP system. The event was organized in the framework of the WIPO Development Agenda and in the context of WIPO’s Committee on Development and Intellectual Property (CDIP).
