WIPO Director General Francis Gurry received on October 8, 2019 the instrument of accession of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement on Appellations of Origin and Geographical Indications from Mr. Kim Chang Min, Secretary General of the National Coordination Committee for WIPO. In this video, Ambassador Tae Song Han, Permanent Representative of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, comments on the importance of the deposit of the instrument by his country. Mr. Gurry said this deposit constitutes a significant step forward towards the entry into force of the Geneva Act.
